Hello Ellis Explorers!  I am excited to be your ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teacher this year!  I will be partnering up with Ms. Deal and Mrs. Hartz during the Language Arts block as we teach you the joys of reading and writing.  This year will be my 11th year of teaching ESOL.  I am originally from Massachusetts, but I have lived in Virginia for the past 28 years.  I graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  I am endorsed to teach ESOL for grades Kindergarten through 12th.  I am married and have two children, and a crazy dog named Willow.  In our free time we enjoy walking the dog, hiking in Shenandoah National Park, camping, spending summers on the lake in New Hampshire, boating, kayaking, swimming, going to the beach, and taking leisurely bike rides.  This year will be an exciting year and I look forward to working with you as you continue to develop your love of learning!
